The UTEC Youth Voice is a new, bi-weekly journal produced by and for youth at the United Teen Equality Center. The paper features news articles about the latest happenings, activities, and programs at UTEC as well as original youth poetry, photography, and artwork. The goal of the paper is provide a positive outlet for youth expression through visual arts and the written word.
The journal is the result of leadership of Kiaraliz Lopez, a student in UTEC’s Alternative Diploma Program, who helped put together our debut issue, which was published on October 1, 2012. Since then, additional UTEC youth have gotten involved including Kyle Cannon, Rene Hernandez, and Sarin Ruom.
