Description: Spectrum is a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersexed, ally, and straight supporters (GLBTQQIAS) at UTEC. Spectrum strives to provide a confidential safe space for GLBTQQIAS youth to socialize, learn, and share with other like-minded people. What is Spectrum all about? Spectrum is about support, education, and events. And most of all, Spectrum is about PRIDE - pride in one's community and pride in one's self. Anyone from ages 13-20 is welcome to come.

Description: the culinary program is an opportunity to learn basic cooking skills as well as the food from many different cultures. It is a leadership program that will provide job skills training and different opportunities in the community. We will have weekly workshops that include field trips and a weekly meal that is served to the whole utec community.

Description: the farm program will work with the culinary program to learn basic skills as well as job skills training, but will also provide opportunities to learn about organic agriculture on the utec farm. We will have weekly workshops on Tuesdays that include field trips and work days on Saturdays when we do farm work and harvest food to donate to local shelters.

New Building

UTEC recently puchased the former St. Paul's United Methodist Church on 34 Hurd Street to serve as our new permanent home!!! We are now looking for volunteers who have experience in designing and renovating a building, including structural/ civil engineering, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interior design, and general construction!
