We did low ropes courses only obviously it was for team building and getting a feel for one another. I found out that am not exactly a nature person the forest was beautiful but it lost it’s novelty about one hour into the trip when the mosquitoes were just swarming. It feels strange to have my fingers on the keyboard maybe it is because today we did tons of climbing. The one that I did the best one on was the one were there were to trees and a log in between them high up. We had to walk across and “dual” like in" American Gladiator” I didn’t know I had such good balance without holding on to the rope I walk across a little bit more then half way and waited for the other person for about eight minutes because she was having trouble not leaning against the trees and just walking across the pole. Yesterday night I didn’t sleep more then four hours!! Thank god we didn’t have to actually ”camp” we slept in utter it was really cool looking it was kinda of like a teepee but without the point in the center of the ceiling it had a sky light and it totally looking like we were in the bottom of the well (you know like in “the ring” ) The sky was overcast so we couldn’t see the stars. One of the girls told a couple of scary stories we probably talked into 11:45 or something. The boy crazy girl just talked and talked about a lot of the boys in our school and about a “cute” staff in the teen center that is like ten years older then her she must have mentioned his name like 15 times!!! What I loved the most was just not hearing cars. It was peaceful except for the assassin mosquitoes and the occasional airplane flying over head. The activity that I enjoyed the most was the “rock climbing” we scaled a stone chimney that was like two stories. It wasn’t exactly what I imagined I was expecting something more difficult. You know like an actual mountain! Erika was a great motivator so was herhusband. Gregg was nice too, too bad Juan couldn’t come he was white water rafting. I made a big sacrifice for the “rock climbing” I cut my “I can claw your eyes out if I wanted too nails” It is so strange being able to touch my palms with the tips of my nails again!! I was so used to having them long but there nails they’ll grow back in no time. It was so funny when we were in our sleeping bags with a light in the middle and we had stopped telling ghost stories and all the lights were out. We saw several flashes outside that looked as if it was a flashlight coming toward us. O course we freaked out we asked Gregg one of the staff from the teen center to go check it out. He was like “what if there is something out there” Kerry said then we’ll know if there is something out there! It turned out it was just a fire fly we are such “city” kids!!!!! I saw my first White Birch Tree ever!!!! Can you believe that in 17 years I never had seen one. We saw as we were going out of town across from the ice cream parlor. That town was swarming in “Abercrombie and Fitch” people! Am not a fan of that style. Sharon if you read this far don’t turn to the dark side!!!! The ice cream was nice I didn’t want something really sweet I wanted a really mellow flavor so I got black raspberry. The size was a quarter of a kiddy and it would have been a large Lowell!! I got ten mosquito bites total I would have gotten more had it not been for the bug spray and my hand pony tail hair flinging !!!! When the airplanes passed by it sounded as if an avalanche was heading towards us. I can type so much better without cat woman finger nails. I saw a taxidermy. A lot of people really challenged and pushed there limits like Erikaand Kerry. Erika is super afraid of heights she almost walked up the whole way of a angled log!! She just had three steps more. But she surpassed her goal which was about eight or ten steps. Kerry had some trouble in the “pamper pole” yeah it is a imaginative name isn't it? It is were you climb a tree (all the high ropes course involved climbing) onto a small platform and jump into midair, your object is to touch a ball that is about 15 feet away. But she made it about 25 minutes latter we were all really proud of her !! She overcame her fear. After two days of not showering (except for a hose down!) it felt like my first bite of a Caramello!!! Yeah I know it is a bit of a strecth!!! But I was trying to paint a picture!!
