VEASNA "MAO" KANG
Streetworker

Veasna Mao Kang was originally born in Cambodia and with his family fled the killing fields of the Cambodian genocide. He struggled during his childhood and is happy that he can now provide support to the teens of UTEC. Mao is proud of UTEC, especially because there weren’t similar organizations when he was growing up. He is committed to always helping others and giving everyone - no matter their background - the benefit of the doubt, believing that all people can lead productive lives. Mao finds UTEC to be a unique workplace, where everyone is like family and works together to make the community a better place.
