Staff Bio

Liz Porrazzo is a native of North Reading, Massachusetts.  Upon graduating from North Reading High School, she knew she needed a change from the small town setting and was enthused to be accepted into Boston University.  She completed her undergraduate studies there, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  Liz also minored in Spanish at B.U. and was able to travel through an external study abroad program to Granada, Spain for a semester.  During her time at Boston University, Liz worked as a tutor at elementary schools in Roxbury and Dorchester.  She absolutely loved working in this setting and became passionate about community development and working with individuals toward their academic and personal success.  During her senior year she began searching for an AmeriCorps position and immediately fell in love with what UTEC has to offer teens.  She will be serving this year as an Outreach Specialist volunteer in the Transitional Coaching department.  Liz is super excited to be a part of UTEC and is looking forward to a great year.
