Staff Bio

Krysti was born in Tampa, Florida but is Texan at heart, having spent most of her life there. She is a fan of the word “y’all”, sweet tea and college football. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Texas, she knew she was ready for adventure. What she didn’t know was that the adventure she was seeking would be found doing AmeriCorps at UTEC in Lowell, MA. Her first year as an AmeriCorps member was so wonderful. Mostly because of the teens she got to work with, the UTEC staff and the amazing friendships she formed with other AmeriCorps members. It was so wonderful, that she decided to stay for a second year of AmeriCorps. This year, she is returning in a slightly different capacity and really excited for the new challenges. As a Crew Leader, she hopes to be able to support the new AmeriCorps members and help them have as wonderful of an experience as she did her first year. Krysti finds it really hard to speak about herself in third person so y’all just stop by and let’s talk!
