Jessica Wilson
Director of Development
Jessica is a native of Lowell, MA, now living in Dracut. As a teen she was involved in an improv acting troupe at Girls, Inc. of Lowell, and has been working with youth focused non-profits ever since. Jessica currently holds a BA in Communications from UMASS Amherst, and a Master of Arts in Media Studies from The New School in New York City.

Jessica’s commitment to youth development began at Wilmington Community Television where, as the Youth Outreach Coordinator, she recruited dozens of young people to learn video production and media literacy at the studio. In New York, Jessica collaborated with several different youth development programs including Children’s PressLine, Downtown Community Television’s PRO-TV, On Television, Ltd., and Washington Irving High School’s iMovieU. In order to investigate an important link she had seen in her work, she completed a one year qualitative project entitled “Media Education and Its Link to Self-Esteem: A Case Study of Children’s PressLine.”

Due to her eclectic background in non-profit, educational, and corporate arenas, Jessica has significant experience in non-profit fundraising, programming and evaluation, social justice work, volunteer management, and corporate sales. As Development Director, Jessica is excited to bring all of her skills together with her commitment to youth development to successfully support UTEC’s mission.
