Bank of America Charitable Foundation Awards $15,000 to Workforce Development

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded $15,000 to UTEC’s Workforce Development program – specifically for our culinary arts expansion as we prepare for the Fresh Roots Café opening in 2013. Young people from Workforce Development, along with staff and AmeriCorps members, were honored to accept the award from local Bank of America representatives Donna Grieb and Myroslava Parkhomenko.

Since recognizing UTEC as a Neighborhood Builder in 2008, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation has been a strong supporter of UTEC’s work opportunities for young people.

“Providing support to organizations like United Teen Equality Center, which provide opportunity and improve the quality of life in our communities, is key to our strategy to build capacities that truly make a difference,” the Foundation wrote in its official award letter.
